NEW DELHI: Planning to buy the latest iPhones – iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus? You can check Amazon Great Indian Festival sale (runs October 4 to 8th). The website is offering special discount on the two new iPhones.
Amazon is giving a flat discount of Rs 2,010 on iPhone 8 along with a cashback offer of Rs 10,000. However, the cashback is valid only on purchases made vis Citi Bank credit and debit cards. This means that the customers can get a total discount of Rs 12,000. Along with this, there is also an exchange offer of Rs 9,500 on the smartphone. Launched at Rs 64,000, the iPhone 8 will cost buyers Rs 51,990 after the addition of Citi Bank cashback offer and the discount.
As for the bigger-screen variant iPhone 8 Plus, Amazon is offering a flat discount of Rs 3,000 on the phone. The Rs 10,000 cashback on Citi Bank credit and debit cards is valid here too. There is also an exchange offer of Rs 9,500 on the smartphone. The smartphone was launched at Rs 73,000 and will cost buyers Rs 59,999 (after the addition of both Citi Bank cashback and Amazon discount). To recall, Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphones went on sale last week (September 29) in India. The smartphones were unveiled on September 12 along with the anniversary edition Apple iPhone X.
Apple iPhone 8 comes with a 4.6-inch Retnia HD display, while the iPhone 8 Plus comes a bigger 5.5-inch Retina HD screen. The smartphones sport an all new glass design with aluminium bezels on the sides. The duo is powered by company’s own 10nm A11 Bionic chip set with a 6-core processor. The company claims that the new processor is 70% faster as compared to the A10 processor which powered the last year launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Just like its predecessor, the iPhone 8 Plus comes with a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors. The phone’s camera also has a new feature called “Portrait Lighting”, which helps sense depth in the image and adjusts the lighting on the subject’s face accordingly. The primary rear camera has f/1.8 aperture while the secondary telephoto camera comes with f/2.8 aperture. On the other hand, the iPhone 8 has the same 12MP rear camera.
As for the video recording, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus supports full-HD recording at 240 frames per second. The handsets can also shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second. The iPhones come in two storage variants 64GB and 256GB. The devices come in Silver, Space Grey and Gold color variants and offer support for wireless charging.
