A film which reminds us of all the reasons why we are so much in love with Hindi movies and its superstars.

Here’s why it remains the best Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone film till date.

Introduced Deepika Padukone to Bollywood

Deepika Padukone was destined to be a superstar and her first film Om Shanti Om just proved to be her first step towards it. In a double role, this model-turned-actress got a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan and in a film directed by Farah Khan. She got ample of chance of show off her dance moves, her acting talent and of course a chance to romance King Khan. Not just SRK’s character, millions of fans became head over heels in love with Shantipriya.

Shirtless Shah Rukh Khan

It’s only Farah Khan who can make Shah Rukh Khan do a double role as struggling actor and Superstar and to top it all an item song as well! If that wasn’t enough she made SRK take off his shirt too. Yes, happy sad song item song called Dard-e-Disco presented shirtless Khan coming out of water flaunting his six pack abs. Too Hot to Handle!!

31 stars in one song!

31 stars in one song, OSO number ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ proved to be the biggest party anthem ever! From veteran star like Dharamendra and Jeetendra to SRK’s contemporaries Salman and Saif Ali Khan, they all turned up to shake a leg with SRK. While leading lady Deepika Padukone is missing in this one but with Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta’s presence it turned out to be housefull of stars in ‘Deewangi Deewangi’

Our favourite moment is friends-turned-foes turned friends Salman and SRK dancing on the bar along with Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan. Couldn’t get better than this!

Memorable dialogues

Dialogues are the biggest strength of the film and we still love saying them loud. Om Shanti Om brings out the filmy keeda in all of us. Our top favourites are right here:

‘Picture abhi baaki mere dost.’

‘Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai’

Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat tum kya jaano Ramesh babu … ishwar ka aashirwad hota hai ek chutki sindoor … suhagan ke sarr ka taj hota hai ek chutki sindoor … har aurat ka khwab hota hai ek chutki sindoor
