Ranveer Singh Has Turned DJ And His Chosen Moniker Will Make Big B Proud

Ranveer Singh is that mad cousin we all have, who is guaranteed to do the craziest shizz in the family. You can basically trust him to be at his zany best at all given times. Bro knows how to bring the fun to the party. Quirky as ever, Ranveer has already tried his hand at DJing several times in the past. In fact, word has it he is quite good at spinning and rapping too! This time he even chose a funny as hell DJ moniker to go with it.

Ranveer Singh shared a video of himself, doling out beats on his DJ console, with this caption, “Deejay Dinanath Chauhan, Poora Naam.”

In case you don’t understand why Amitabh Bachchan, AKA Big B, would be proud of this, let us explain. You see, Vijay Deenanath Chauhan is the name of the character Big B played in the 1990 cult film Agneepath. The film was even remade in 2012, and this version starred Hrithik Roshan. To be honest, the remake was unnecessary because the original was as good as it could have been.

While the entire country seems to be distracted by the Padmavati furore, Ranveer, being who he is, seems to be chilling and distracting himself in his own way. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-actor Deepika Padukone have received multiple death threats with fringe groups announcing a bounty on their heads. The release of the film has also been postponed. It was initially meant to release on December 1, 2017. Rumour has it, it can only release in 2018 now, because things are showing no sign of settling down anytime soon.

Ranveer plays the character of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. All the trouble started when rumours spread that there would be intimate scenes between his character and Deepika’s in a dream sequence. Even after repeated denials of any such scene in the film from the makers, nobody’s blood has stopped boiling yet over imagined offences. We sincerely hope things sort themselves out soon enough, so the netas of our nation can concentrate on real issues that our country is facing.
