NEW DELHI: India has overcome the Kim Davy hurdle, as New Delhi welcomed Denmark’s foreign minister Anders Samuelson on Monday, the first high-level political visit after India downgraded diplomatic ties with the Scandinavian country in 2011.
Samuelson, here on a five-day visit, will meet PM Narendra Modi in Hyderabad on Tuesday as well as speak at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
He met foreign minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday. Giving a readout of the meeting, the MEA spokesperson said, “The discussions between the two ministers focused on building of cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, science and technology, environment and renewable energy, shipping, food processing, healthcare, culture and tourism.”
