Neighborhood News Desk/Avi Arya: The Centre is planning to increase the pension providing people from Below Poverty Line (BPL) households from the current ₹200 -₹1,000 per month to around ₹1,600. Reports state that they are planning to ask the states to fund a part of the increase, therefore the Centre’s share will be at least ₹1,000 a month, Union Rural Development Secretary Amarjeet Sinha said.
