Neighborhood News Desk/Avi Arya: A businessman was robbed at gunpoint in north Delhi’s Roop Nagar on Saturday evening. The robbers were reported to have then fled with Rs 3.5 lakh in their possession. Police officers reported that the incident happened at around 8 pm. When the victim, Rakesh Kumar Jain, who exchanges old currency notes in the market, was returning home from work was then stopped by 4 people who were waiting in the nearby lane.
The men pointed a pistol to his head and threatened him to hand over his bag , but when he refused he was beaten up and not only they took his bag containing the money but also stole his Two-Wheeler as well. Police are checking the CCTV area’s as well as interviewing the victim’s family and friends to see if there’s a hidden motive.
