Air quality gets worse in Delhi


Pollution levels entered the ‘very poor’ zone once again on Wednesday morning after a gap of more than a week.


Neighbourhood NEWS Desk/Vidhi Singh: The air quality has worsened on wednesday morning and in east Delhi’s Anand vihar air quality has become very severe with AQI 413.As a result of that , Delhi government on wednesday has tested the “anti-smog gun”, a machine that is used to spray water in the air to bring down the pollution level, in Anand Vihar area due to very poor air quality.

The Air Quality Index — a measure of pollutants in the air — touched 332 in Delhi at around 8am on Wednesday. On a scale of 0-500, an AQI value of more than 301 is considered as very poor level whereas,Tuesday’s average AQI was 300, which falls in the poor category.
