Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: Winter chill is likely to fade over the next few days, as the mercury level both at night and during the day is expected to rise. Delhiites woke up to a pleasantly cold weather on Tuesday morning. Minimum temperature recorded was 9.8 degree Celsius which was a notch above normal for this time of the year.
MeT officials attributed this change to an approaching Western disturbance. The approaching disturbance, however, won’t trigger any rain in Delhi unlike its predecessor; it would hit Jammu and Kashmir. The last one had triggered light rain in Delhi on January 23. The day temperature dropped by more than five degrees and the chill had returned.
