Delhi property dealer shot dead in road rage, family claims no one stopped to help

Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: On Tuesday 44-year-old property dealer was shot dead allegedly by a group of men in a case of road rage at a flyover in north west Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area early. Police say that Vinod Mehra, a resident of Geeta Colony in east Delhi, was returning home with his 15-year-old nephew Kunal after attending a wedding in Alipur when the incident took place.
He was then shot in his chest from a close range. Was rushed to Sant Parmanand Hospital by his nephew and neighbours, who were also returning from the wedding venue in another car. Doctors declared Mehra brought dead. Family members have alleged that Mehra and Kunal both requested passers-by for help but nobody stopped and after two-three minutes, Mehra collapsed on the road. Kunal continued pleading for help, even as people stopped but left after enquiring about the matter.
