No metro ride for you if bag above 15kg

Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: Commuters carrying oversized baggage may be banned from travelling in Delhi Metro from March at 20 select stations, including the New Delhi station. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had just recently installed U-shaped metal barriers in front of X-ray baggage screening machines, which don’t allow oversized baggage to enter the machine.

DMRC’s operations and maintenance Act states that commuters can’t carry baggage that is heavier than 15kg and the dimensions is fixed for it is at 60 centimetre length, 45 centimetre width and a height of not more than 25centimetre. Even though the rules have been in place from the very beginning, it is only now that DMRC is taking measures so that commuters adjusts to these changes.
