Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: Poor results in Class IX exams allegedly drove two students to commit suicide in separate incidents in the city. First case was reported from Harsh Vihar, where a 17-year-old girl committed suicide. No suicide note was found. Victim, Asha, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room by her parents, the official said.Earlier during the day, Asha had gone to her school to collect her result, in which she had reportedly failed.
Parents told police officials that she was under depression and didn’t eat anything after coming from school. Next day, family members broke open her room when she didn’t respond to their calls for breakfast to only find her hanging from the ceiling fan with a dupatta. The hospital she was taken to declared her brought dead.Another Class IX girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Aman Vihar, outer Delhi. Though no suicide note was found, police said that she failed her Class IX examinations for the second.
