Neighbourhood Technology Desk/Avi Arya: Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has unveiled its lineup of audio products in India for 2018. Consisting of both headphones and wireless speakers, these products will be available across all Sony Centres and major electronic stores across the country.


The key product launched today, the WF-SP700N, is claimed to be the world’s first device to feature both digital noise cancelling technology and a splash-proof design. The noise cancellation can be turned on by using the the Ambient Sound mode.

WI-SP600N and WI-SP500

These wireless in-ear headphones boast of the same digital noise cancelling and sound quality technology and the same level splash-proof rating as the WF-SP700N. Both of them come in a behind the neck design and while the WI-SP600N have a claimed battery life of up to approximately six hours, the WI-SP500 are said to last eight hours.

WI-C300, WH-CH400 and WH-CH500
One common feature among these three audio products is that they are compatible with Google assistant on a press of a button. While the WI-C300 are in-ear wireless headphones, the WH-CH400 and WH-CH500 are over-the-ear headphones. They offer a claimed battery life of up to eight hours and support NFC and Bluetooth 4.2.
SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31, and SRS-XB21
 These three speakers come with a fabric material design and are both waterproof and dust proof with an IP67 rating. These speakers are equipped with multi-colour line lights and focus on bass-heavy music and their ‘Party Booster’ mode is said to enhance the beats by detecting tapping from 5 different directions curtesy its built-in accelerator that generates a sound and lighting reaction. Delivering 24 hours of battery life.
