Neighbourhood Technology Desk: Micromax on Tuesday launched its first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone Bharat Go at Rs 4,399,which has a market operating price of Rs 4,399, comes with a special cashback of Rs 2,000 as part of Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative.
The launch is part of a partnership to bring low-cost smartphones powered by Android Oreo (Go edition) to the Indian market, the company said in a statement. Android Oreo (Go edition) is a configuration of the Android operating system specifically optimized for devices with 1GB RAM or less.
Features a 4.5-inch TFT display, and is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor. The smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. For photography Micrromax Bharat Go sports a 5-megapixel camera at the rear and front. The smartphone is fuelled by a 2,000 mAh battery. Also features a smart key that will enable the users to take screen shots, click pictures and switch the phone into silent mode.
