Neighbourhood News Desk: According to experts, there has been a surge of 12 percent in the fire incident in the capital as Delhi Fire Control Room has been receiving more than 150 calls daily of fire incidents. In such situation, the fire department needs to have adequate resources.
Yet, 60 new fire fighting vehicles remain unused for two months in one of the fire stations as the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) has to get a clearance from the National Green Tribunal (NGT). DFS director J C Mishra told that the fire department has filed an application to the NGT. It is hoped that soon clearance would be given and the capacity of vehicles in the fire department would increase to over 300.
