Neighbourhood News Desk: Delhi Police has arrested the kingpin of cattle thieves’ gang of Mewat region, Ibrahim (55) — resident of district Nuh (Haryana), who carried a reward of Rs 25,000, said police.On the intervening night of April 2-3, a PCR call was received about few persons lifting cattle illegally in a covered truck bearing Rajasthan number plate at Paschim Vihar here. While searching the vehicle, police found it at BG-7, Paschim Vihar. On noticing PCR approaching them, the accused persons accelerated the truck.
At one dead end, the accused abandoned the vehicle to escape but two accused, Mohd Umar and Mohd Shahid were arrested at the spot; a country-made pistol along with 10 live cartridges were recovered from their possession and the alleged vehicle was seized, said Additional DCP Rajendra Singh Sagar. All others except Ibrahim were held. On June 8, acting on a secret information, police nabbed Ibrahim from Subhash Chowk (Gurugram).
