Neighbourhood Technology Desk: Xiaomi is all set to launch its new smartphone Redmi 6 in China today. The company had announced the launch on Weibo, and teased the phone quite a few times. Prior to its launch here’s what we gathered from teasers, leaks and reports. Sharing a poster on Weibo believed to be of the upcoming Redmi 6. The poster reveals the front design of the phone which looks quite similar to Redmi 5. The smartphone has a full display with a single selfie camera on top and a thick bottom chin.
Under the hood, the smartphone will possibly run MediaTek’s Helio P22 octa-core processor. In terms of storage there could be three options of 2GB RAM plus 16GB storage, 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. For photography, Redmi 6 could offer a dual-camera setup, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Other expected features on Redmi 6 include a 3,900mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo based on MIUI.
