Neighbourhood Technology Desk: Oppo’s sub-brand Realme came to India in May with its first handset Realme 1. And almost one month after the launch, the company has announced a new variant of the handset.
In terms of specs, the Realme 1 is powered by MediaTek’s 12nm octa-core Helio P60 processor. This processor is said to improve the speed by 50% and also assist in temperature controlling of the device. Even though the Moonlight Silver variant comes in 4GB+64GB variant, other two variants available on Amazon website — 3GB+32GB variant and 6GB+128GB internal storage. Running on Android Oreo 8.1 based on Oppo’s Colour OS, the handset features a 6-inch full HD+ screen 2160X1080p resolution with 84.75% screen-to-body ratio. For imaging duties, the Realme 1 offers a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera. Both cameras are capable of supporting AR stickers within the app and also offer Bokeh and Vivid mode. Offering Oppo’s AI Beauty 2.0 Technology, this beautification tool which is said to recognize 296 facial spots in the users’ face to enhance selfies.
The Realme 1 is backed by 3410mAh battery, which is optimized by AI support to analyse the users’ usage pattern and help the device’s performance.
The device is said to endure extreme weather conditions such as -15 degrees to 55-degree Celsius, both for a period of up to 7 days.
