Last year was Yogi aam, this year is Vedic aam

At the 30th Mango Festival in Delhi, get set to indulge in a variety of mangoes, and even participate in mango-eating competition.

Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: One may have heard of a Sheila Mango and even a Yogi Mango. But this year, mango growers of India are heading to the Capital with newer varieties of mangoes, besides the usual hits such as Langra, Chausa, Rataul, Hussainara, Ramkela, Kesar, Fazri, Mallika, and Amrapalihat, to make all fall in love with the fruit all over again.

In this upcoming 2018 Mango Festival, visitors can also participate in games, quizzes and mango-eating competitions. Over 500 varieties of mangoes are being displayed in the festival by participants from Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

And it’s how the growers name the mangoes that always excites the mango lovers more often.
