LG’s latest smart TVs are based on the company’s ThinQ Artificial Intelligence platform.
Neighbourhood Technology Desk/Avi Arya: LG is one of the first major technology companies to embrace Artificial Intelligence. Most of its new devices including phones are now powered by its custom AI platform, ThinQ. Company is now aiming at India’s TV segment with its latest range of AI-powered smart TVs. On Monday LG launched 25 TVs under different categories like OLED, Super UHD, UHD and Smart TVs – all running on ThinQ Artificial Intelligence platform. LG’s ThinQ AI TVs start at Rs 32,500 (32-inch) and goes up to Rs 29,49,990 (77-inch) across all models.
What does AI bring to the table?
Younchul Park, Director-Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India says that “Artificial intelligence is definitely the road ahead for all our future products. AI functionality backed up with extensive research is incorporated in televisions with an aim of delivering a unique and more intuitive experience. As a matter of fact, we have taken a step ahead to implement AI function across our range of smart televisions…,”
LG ThinQ AI also features ‘Mobile Connection Overlay’ which allows users to view the same content on their smartphones and the TV simultaneously. Users can also access Google Photos and Google Drive on the TV.
