Navin was arrested after a man at the crematorium called the police on suspecting foul play
Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: Delhi Police on Sunday arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly strangulating his wife and then trying to cremate her body by trying to pass the death off as having been caused by electrocution. Police said that the accused, identified by just his first name Navin, worked in a jeans manufacturing factory and had killed his wife after suspecting her of having an extramarital affair.
Police said that a person, who was present at the crematorium, around found the strangulation marks around the woman’s neck unusual and her husband’s behaviour suspicious. He called the police at 12.50 pm and a team reached the spot to find much of the body burnt already. They doused the flames and collected the bones and whatever parts remained for examination.
