UIDAI added new security layer to the authentication process

Neighbourhood News Desk/ Garima Kotroo: The Unique Identification Authority of India has announced a new step for Aadhaar Users.  The measure seeks to mandate face recognition by taking on spot pictures.

The most commonly used authentication which required Aadhaar includes an issue of new mobile sim, public distribution system, banks, attendance at offices.

Facial Recognition is an additional security layer. This feature is added along with the regular authentication process which identifies the individuals with fingerprints or iris scan.

There are many old age people who have been excluded from the authentication process as their fingerprints worn out. In such case, facial recognition feature will help them in Aadhaar process.
