Green panel asked the apex pollution monitoring body to form two member committee to look into the matter
Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: National Green Tribunal directs the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in forming a committee in order to inquire the status of 51,837 in the national capital that are running in the residential area’s without the required approvals.
Green Panel therefore asked the apex pollution monitoring body to form a two member committee to look into the entire matter and according to the law take take appropriate action.
NGT chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, said that “The North Delhi Municipal Corporation, East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation and Delhi Development Authority will co-operate and provide all assistance to the Committee constituted by the Central Pollution Control Board”.
Report had said that Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has recently listed 51,837 units that are operating from the non-conforming/residential areas and has asked the three municipal corporations to initiate action against them.
