Neighbourhood News Desk/ Garima Kotroo: Delhi Metro’s Pink line’s latest extension will make commuting easier and faster for the residents of east, north-east and north-west Delhi.

The three interchanging points — Karkardooma, Welcome and Anand Vihar — of Pink Line (Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar) are likely to be opened this month or in early October, as per the unconfirmed reports from the office of DMRC. The finishing touches are being given to the Welcome station, which is currently linked with Red line (Dilshad Garden-Rithala).

The Shiv Vihar-Trilok Puri section will soon join the areas of Gokulpuri, Jaffrabad, Maujpur and Johri Enclave. Commuters will now be taking a short route from Ghaziabad or East Delhi instead of taking a regular long detour from Kashmiri gate and then Rajiv Chowk.
