Neighbourhood Technology Desk/Avi Arya: HP Inc. keeps its promise of infusing life into 3D metal printing by launching the world’s most advanced 3D printing technology called the HP Metal Jet for helping in the mass manufacturing and production of grade metal parts.
This technology is now 50 times more productive when it comes to delivering low-cost, high quality mechanical and functional parts for auto, industrial and medical industries. HP Metal Jet starts by producing stainless steel finished parts. By the first half of 2019, customers will instantly upload 3D design files and receives industrial-grade parts in large quantities.
HP partners up with UK-based GKN Powder Metallurgy to help in deploying HP Metal Jet in their factories to help produce functional metal parts for the auto and industrial leaders, including Volkswagen and Wilo. HP also partners up with California-based Parmatech, an ATW Company, to expand mass production of metal jet parts.
