Neighbourhood Technology Desk/Avi Arya: OnePlus plans to launch its next latest phone on October 17th known as the ‘OnePlus 6T’. CNET reports that this phone comes with the newest technology called the in-screen fingerprint sensor which allows users to unlock their phones just by tapping the screen.
It is said to look like a rebranded Oppo R17 Pro that was launched in china earlier this year. This phone is expected to come with a waterdrop notch, which is much tinier than the current notch on OnePlus 6, sports a 12-megapixel, 20-megapixel and a TOF 3D stereo camera setup.
It is also expected to have a better battery life as well. Also it runs on the Android Oreo-based OxygenOS, but will soon be upgraded to Android 9 Pie.
OnePlus told CNET in an email. “By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.”
