Neighbourhood Technology Desk/Avi Arya: HMD Global has just launched Nokia’s newest smartphone known as Nokia 7.1 in India and somewhere within this month this particular smartphone will soon be available in selected markets.
The Nokia 7.1 resembles the Nokia 7 Plus but instead comes with a notch display. Just like the other Nokia phones, the Nokia 7.1 is also part of Google’s android one programme. This specific smartphone will be shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Nokia 7.1 features include Full HD+ 5.84-inch ‘PureDisplay’ with an aspect ratio of 19:9 which is said to offer an elevated HDR viewing experience.
Under the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor that is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
It’s fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery with USB Type-C port for charging. In the photography department, the smartphone has ZEISS-powered 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual cameras. This smartphone also comes with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for video recording.
