Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: With all that’s been going on for the past few days, the air pollution in Delhi is likely to spike from November due to the toxic fumes that are coming from the stubble-burning regions of Punjab and Haryana.

EPCA held a meeting to review what measures are there to control ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’ categories in Air Quality that air pollution has listed under the Graded Response Action Plan that is being implemented.

CPCB’s task force is expected to hold a meeting soon to take stock of the worsening situation; experts blame the rising pollution levels on unfavorable meteorological conditions which include a dip in temperature, low wind-speeds, and a cloudy sky etc. These conditions are unlikely to improve over the next few days.
