Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: Governing body (GB) of the Delhi University’s Bharati College issues a notice to a professor who was accused of sexual harassment. College’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) asked the professor to respond by October 29th and would take “compulsory retirement” if he failed.
This led to protests in the college, prompting an investigation against the professor. And so around 150 students held another protest in the college and accused the GB of delaying the actions despite the recommendation of the ICC.
In the GB meeting, it was decided that the professor should take ‘compulsory retirement’ after the ICC found that he sent messages with “obscene, vulgar and sexually coloured language” to the student.
