Government plans to create safe spots on Signature Bridge

Neighbourhood News Desk/Avi Arya: This week the Delhi Government plans a second phase of work on their signature bridge as a tourist hub as well as work on the development of “safe” selfie spots.

This decision was made after the bridge became a site for selfies when thrill-seekers were seen climbing the bridge’s suspension cables, as well as illegal parking started coming in. Officials said that they’re consulting with an architect for spots along with the plans for the 2,214-foot long bridge.

One of these plans also include setting up a glassbox as a viewing gallery at a height of 154 metres at the top of the pylon from where tourists will have a panoramic view of the city.
