IndiGo: India’s first largest airline

Neighbourhood News Desk/ Simran Virdi: The largest homegrown airline, IndiGo became India’s first airline to have 200 aircraft in its fleet. IndiGo had almost 43% of share in the domestic air travel market.

IndiGo was founded by  Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal. Together they both started the operation in August 2006 with a Delhi-Imphal flight.
