The Project to extend Badshapur-Sohna road has been delayed by another month due to inadequate land acquisition. The 23 km signal-free road has only 70% of land for upgradation whereas to commence any project, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) requires 80% land.
The NHAI officials said “payment of Rs 64 crore has been made to ‘Competent Authoritiy, Land Acquisition’ (CALA) but the possession is yet to be given”. However, the upgradation work has been divided into two phases.
