Plane rolls back 10ft after reaching parking stand

Neighbourhood News Desk/Delhi/Avi Arya:

At the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, an aircraft (Boeing 737) from jet airways had suddenly rolled back after reaching its parking stand.

This occurred on Friday afternoon, just when the passengers unbuckled their seat belts and getting ready to descend after being flown in from Jodhpur. Some say that the reason for the plane’s sudden roll back was possibly due to chocks (blocks) not being placed in both the front and back of the wheels to prevent accidental movement.

After that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation grounded both pilots of the aircraft along with sending a probe to find out whether it was a human error or a parking brake malfunction.
