Neighbourhood News Desk/New Delhi/Avi Arya

In the morning of January 3, 2019, a 13 vehicle pile-up supposedly took place on the Kanjhawala-Bawana Road in the outer Delhi. This incident was caused due to a car accidentally being set on fire.

A passerby said that the driver of the car spotted flames in the engine immediately pulled over and jumped out of the vehicle. Police reported that a dense fog prevented the motorists from spotting the burned car parked on the road which led to an accident where several vehicles were damaged and a few people were injured.

Many witnesses stated that they have seen at least two dozen vehicles in the pile-up for more than 15 minutes, even as a fire tender attempted to control the blaze in the car.
