After the traffic police department received many complaints from residents of various colonies across Gurugram, they decided to direct the schools to not park their buses inside residential colonies.
Along with ensuring that the fuel tanks get refilled between 8pm and 6am to avoid long lines around the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pumps. This is done to prevent any further traffic congestion.
According to the police, the school buses park in the residential areas, causing long traffic jams in both mornings and afternoons. It gets worse, when the parents come by to drop or pick up the students; they often park their vehicles on the roads, leaving them narrow and chocked.
Police said that the school management should direct the drivers to get CNG before the school time and not during work hours. They also asked the schools to mandatorily place relevant signboards around their premises starting from February.
