From January 8, 2019, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia starts off a “mega” book fair which will be lasting for seven days.
This event takes place at the Mukharjee Nagar and is done for the Delhi government-run schools so that they can obtain “standardised and quality” books for their school libraries.
Education minister Sisodia suggested that the principals also discuss with the teachers and students on what kind of books are needed in their libraries. He also said that the Delhi government for the first time will spend “Rs 8 crore” to refill the libraries of its schools with new appealing books.
