On the morning of January 11, 2019, Delhi was greeted with a cold morning fog where the minimum temperature is 4.8 degrees Celsius. This is considered three notches below the season’s average.
Due to these foggy conditions that took place in the morning, 11 trains that were bound for Delhi were delayed by two to four hours, since the visibility was 600 metres.
An official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that since there was shallow to moderate fog in the morning, the sky will be completely clear with haze coming after.
