Metro lines soon run by private players

Neighbourhood News Desk/New Delhi/Avi Arya

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will plan to transfer the operations of two of its oldest corridors. These are the Red and Yellow lines and probably obtain the most crucial job, which is the position of the train driver to private players.

These players will however run the trains, only if they’re supervised by the DMRC.

They will also pay for the manpower provided based on hours in running the train. They are currently being paid Rs 20,600, which is one of the highest amount for non-executive DMRC staff.
