In Delhi’s largest prison, known as Tihar Jail, officials say that, they plan to increase the number of CCTV cameras in the complex by more than five times. Within 10 months jail is set to get 5,692 night vision cameras.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal approved of this Rs 120-crore project last month.
The reason for this was to gain video surveillance inside the prison. Jail officers said that with the help of the proposed addition of 4,750 new cameras inside the complex, chances of a blind spot won’t be possible.
