In the Annual Status of Education report of 2018 found that the majority of students those who passed 8th class can’t do basic maths and quarter of them can’t even read. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the time of Independence Day mentioned in his speech that separate toilets for girls and boys should be finished with the help of the State Government by next year of 15 August. But only 66% of schools have separate toilets since 2010.
According to the report in 2008, 37% of students were able to do basic problem-solving sums but the graph has fallen by 28%. While 84.8% students of Class VIII could read Class II-level texts in 2008, the number has dropped by 72.8% in 2018.
