Due to a tussle between the Union and the Delhi government of the APP on the bases on funding, Delhi Metro’s Phase IV project is most likely to be delayed for about two years. This causes both governments to have a blaming contest against each other.
According to the sources of the centre, it was said that the Delhi government had to seek the revision, of the costs and the addition of three more corridors which then requires fresh appraisal and cabinet, which is considered a time consuming process. Due to the Lok Sabha elections being around the corner, the government can’t spare time for these projects.
