Cabinet might approve of Metro’s Red Line extension

According to the officials, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) is more likely to give its approval on January 23, 2019, for the Delhi Metro’s Red Line extension.

This entirely raised section is comprised of eight stations: Shahid Nagar, Raj Bagh, Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park, Mohan Nagar, Arthala, Hindon River and New Bus Adda.

A senior official said that the total cost of the line is about Rs 1, 710 crore, along with a grant by the Centre. The rolling stock is being provided by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the land has been provided free of cost by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
