Been almost a month after wrapping up their business from the busy Tilak Bazar in the walled city of Old city, chemical traders in Delhi are saying that there not so sure about their future. Pradeep Gupta, president of the Chemical Traders Association said that, Since January 1, on Delhi High Court’s order, their shops in the Walled City were shut.
While the construction work on the shop-cum-godowns goes on in IFC Narela, they don’t have essential services like electricity and water there. They’re not even clear on when these will be provided. Gupta says that the main problem apart from the high court ordering the traders to shift to the site assigned to them, the main problem is getting electricity and water connection.
