According to the Delhi government, there were already 512 cases of swine flu (H1N1) reported from various hospitals in Delhi till January 29. They stated that no deaths were reported, but some city hospitals claim that 11 people died in January.
Doctors say that these are the cases that got tested for swine flu and were not reported as Swine-flu cases; since these tests are done for people with severe symptoms, such as chest pain, drop in blood pressure etc.
And so the government ensures that oseltamivir (Tamiflu), which is the recommended treatment for swine flu, is available in all the government hospitals along with Personal protective equipment and N95 masks to be used by hospital employees.
