Metro Link receives approval for safety operations

The Metro link from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda has just received approvals to begin passenger operations. Safety trails on the line, which is an extension of the red line of the Delhi Metro has just been completed by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).

This route is on an uplifted section that has eight stations that consists of Shaheed Nagar, Raj Bagh, Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park, Mohan Nagar, Arthala and New Bus Adda. These trail runs started in August 2018, and were cleared by Public Investment Board on January 11.

On January 23, the project was cleared by the Union Cabinet. Project’s total cost is Rs 1781.21 crore with shares from the Centre, state agencies, and the DMRC towards the rolling stock.
