A 16-year-old innocent sexually assaulted by her so-called “brother”. A person whom she called “Bhaiyaa” forced himself on her when she was all alone. Luckily, the girl somehow managed to escape at that time but what if she was sexually assaulted by her own brother who promised her to protect from the bad world always.
According to Mumbai-based organisation reports, over half of the Indian women face some kind of domestic abuse either by their relative or husband. Many of them also experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Ironically, there are many cases of sexual harassment have been pending in our country with such numbers 15,900 in UP, 10,950 in Madhya Pradesh. States like Kerala, Odisha, Karnataka, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Gujarat have cases pending ranging from 3,500 to 5,000.
One of the youngsters firmly reacted on the issue by saying “One way to give them back their right to a happy, trauma-free life is to put the culprit behind bars”.
