India is all set to unite all the emergency helpline numbers to make only one. The recently launched indigenous emergency number 112 in Himachal Pradesh will soon to roll out in other states also. The services in the states including Kerela, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana will commence from February 19.
All the smartphone users can avail the services of 112 by either dialing the number or pressing the home/power button three times. The users can also make the emergency call by long pressing the 5/9 key.
Apart from this dialing service, the government has also launched the 112 app service. If you can not access to the number you can also initiate your request via emergency app. The app is available for both the Android and iOS users.
