According to the United Nation’s Population Division, Delhi is said to succeed Tokyo in being the World’s largest urban build-up within a decade due to the population of 2.9 crore. This also includes cites that are joined such as Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and Faridabad.

In these studies from the World Bank, the boundary of India’s largest cities grows rapidly due to manufacturing jobs, high-tech and other emerging industries.
