On February 24, an evaluation of about 4,041 schools across Delhi was made by the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR). This was done under the ongoing initiative School Development Index (SDI).
The purpose of this exercise was to evaluate all the public and private schools in Delhi, based on several fields such as: child safety, learning availability, learning outcomes and social inclusion. With 4,041 schools completing their evaluation, phase-2 of the School Development Index exercise has been completed.
By the end of May, evaluation of all the schools is expected to be completed by the child rights protection body and releases a collective report of all the schools.
