A beautification project is being planned out and it involves the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) replacing conventional streetlights at busy markets with solar LED lights. These lights will have built in batteries to provide backup for three days.
This project is carried out by the corporation at south Delhi markets. The beauty of these lights is that they’ll still function even during the rain, not only do they help in saving energy but they also prevent any form of electrocution incidents. The SDMC also plans to save 23,650 units of electricity per year with the help of these LED lights.
