Sisodia released Rs 25 crore for Delhi’s beautification

In the recent annual budget announcement Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister as well as Finance Minister Manish Sisodia has sanctioned Rs 25 crore for a beautification drive in the capital. The drive would be conducted two phases. In the Phase 1, five main entry points including the borders at Gurugram, Tikri kalan, Ghazipur, Apsara and Anand Vihar will be beautified. Other seven points would be beautify in Phase 2.

While announcing the budget, Sisodia said that the Delhi govt is intended to develop the site of Yamuna as a world class tourist destination for each and every visitor, especially develop the area nearby Signature Bridge. “Tourist amenities and an information centre will be developed, with a shuttle service and guided tour of the Signature Bridge. Consultants and advisors will be appointed for preparations and development of the riverfront” he added.
